Denver Zoo
As we are wrapping our science unit on Living Systems, we visited the Denver Zoo today. Thank you to all parents who were able to make it today! As you can see in the pictures, our students had an amazing and engaging time investigating the animals in their enclosures. After researching and comparing and contrasting animals in their natural habitat with animals in the zoo, the students enjoyed being able to see these animals from a different perspectives.
Home & School Connection:
This is a great time to ask your student about their project-based learning on animals in their natural habitat vs animals in the zoo. What did they learn? How has their perspective changed and why? How do animals in the zoo act differently than those in the wild?
The following links are a great way of extending this learning with your student!
